The CULTURAL CENTER of ODYSSEAS

 

A dream of the people of "ODYSSEAS" became a reality, thanks to our President’s and Director of the Youth -Cultural Center E. Kiale determination and persistence. Thankfully, OEK showed its social face and granted the spaces to “ODYSSEAS” in order to fulfill the increased needs of the residents and the over 1,500 children who currently live in the settlement.

The Cultural Center of our club consists of five venues and a utility room (w.c.):

"ATHENA" venue, which houses our library. Our creative workshops are also housed in the "ATHENA" room.

"TELEMACHOS" venue, which houses the computer island. There the children have the opportunity to be trained by the volunteers of our action in the most basic skills of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.).

From January, two adult sections will also operate. (January 13)

"KALYPSO" hall, which is ODYSSEAS event hall.

The other two spaces were offered from ODYSSEAS to the Municipality of Efkarpia (after its request), in order to create a KEP (Citizen Service Center) that will serve the needs of all the citizens of the Municipality of Efkarpia. ODYSSEAS granted the rooms FOR FREE rent-free, asking only to cover the operational needs of the cultural center.

It should be noted that ALL the actions of the association are open to all citizens and are offered FREE of charge thanks to the sponsors and volunteers, without whose help we could not proceed.

We hope that with everyone's help the "ODYSSEA" Cultural Center will develop and offer new actions in the future. "ODYSSEAS" promotes volunteer and its message is: "Odysseus for EVERYONE and EVERYONE for Odysseus". Become a volunteer in the club's activities so that we can offer as much as we can, especially to the children!
